Our Programs - Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition
Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition - Admissions

Applicants will be evaluated on their potential for success in completing the program, as well as their potential contribution to the field of Clinical Nutrition. Registered Dietitians (RD) and graduates of the Dietetic Internship Program will be given priority in admissions.

Professional credentials are required from a recognized health professional organization.

Other health professionals who meet health and disease related nutrition prerequisites, and have the science background required for admission to core coursework, may qualify for admission.

Applications must be submitted by January 1. Early application is strongly encouraged. Applications for a MS in Clinical Nutrition are available at MS Clinical Nutrition Application Form link.

Admission requirements include:

  • GRE Scores - Request the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to forward your Graduate Record Examination scores to SOM Graduate Admissions (see address below.) If you have received your score report, please include a photocopy of your scores with your application packet to expedite the processing of your application. However, an official report of your scores must still be provided by ETS.
  • College Transcripts - You must provide an official transcript for each college or university that you have attended.
  • Letters of Recommendation - At least three letters of recommendation are required. Request recommendations from persons who have knowledge of your background, qualifications and potential for graduate work.
  • Personal statement of scientific and research experience and career goals.
  • Application Fee - Include a $120.00 non-refundable application fee made payable to OHSU.
