The School of Medicine Alumni Association held its annual dinner and awards presentation on June 6. Congratulations to the following award recipients.
Charles A. Preuss, M.D. Distinguished Alumnus:
This award was established in 1983 and honors a School of Medicine graduate who, in professional achievement and service to their community, reflects the highest ideals of the School of Medicine.

Richard T. Jones Distinguished Alumni Scientist:
This award was established in 2001 to honor a graduate from the School of Medicine’s Masters or Doctor of Philosophy degree programs who displays continued research excellence, service to the scientific community, an/or contributions to basic science education.

School of Medicine Dean’s Award:
This award is presented to a faculty member or alumnus in recognition of service to the School of Medicine. The recipient is selected by the Dean of the School.

Best Paper Awards:
For nearly two decades, the Alumni Association has presented awards to the best paper completed by a resident/fellow and post-doc. The Alumni Council Awards Committee selects the finalists and the full Council votes on the winner. The Award comes with a $500 prices.
