Ward assignments will be based on student rank order of preferences as much as possible. A preference rank order sheet will be sent to all students several weeks prior to their clerkship starting date to facilitate these requests. An attempt will be made to match at least one listed preference for each student. However, because more requests for a specific site may occur than is available, you may not receive the site you prefer for both five-week rotations. Students assigned to a community hospital during one of their rotations may opt for doing a second OHSU or VAMC rotation as openings allow.
