The Department is concerned that students demonstrate appropriate levels of professional responsibility as a member of the medical team to which he or she is assigned. Of equal importance are interpersonal skills related to other members of the health care team and patients. Other traits highly valued include: dedication, motivation, initiative, perseverance, self-sacrifice, availability, dependability, punctuality, and adaptability to critique and changing situations and expectations.
