Tobacco Cessation Resources

Tobacco is a powerful addiction.

We do not expect nor require that anyone quit tobacco use in order to be at OHSU; however, if you are interested in quitting, we would like to provide you with support and resources.

If you choose not to quit, we hope you will consider the support and resources available to manage your cravings during your time at OHSU.

Summary of cessation benefits

For OHSU Patients and Visitors

For several years all OHSU patients admitted to the hospital have received the brochure "Is it time to quit smoking?" which describes the dangers of smoking, the benefits of stopping and tips for successfully quitting. More information on cessation resources for OHSU patients and visitors will be available in our medical offices and hospitals, as well as on this Web site, as we get closer to implementation of the tobacco-free policy.
