During his 18-year presidency of OHSU, Peter Kohler, M.D., has led the institution to world-class excellence. His vision will continue to inspire the OHSU community for years to come. To honor this legacy, OHSU and the OHSU Foundation have together created a fund for excellence in his name.
Supporting the Kohler Fund
The Peter O. Kohler Fund for OHSU Excellence was established to:
- Provide a conduit for unrestricted gifts to OHSU – gifts that give the institution the flexibility to seize emerging opportunities and provide support when and where it’s most needed.
- Provide a meaningful way for friends and admirers, including faculty and staff, to make a gift in Dr. Kohler’s honor and extend his legacy through philanthropy.
- Provide the new OHSU president with a powerful tool for advancing the university’s objectives.
- Create a lasting tribute to Dr. Kohler and his many contributions to OHSU and Oregon.
Recognizing Tributes at Elite Levels
Donors of $5,000 or more will qualify for membership in the President’s Society (the OHSU-wide giving society honoring elite donors) and be invited to special events throughout the year.
President’s Society donors understand that significant private support is critical to OHSU’s growth and vitality. Their premier levels of annual and lifetime giving provide both leadership and inspiration — and in so doing sustain the spirit of Dr. Kohler’s exceptional legacy.
