Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute

Based on OHSU’s West Campus, the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute is home to a multidisciplinary team of scientists working to fight the growing threat of infectious diseases. Focused on development of vaccines and novel immune and gene therapeutic approaches to these diseases, the institute brings together experts in virology, immunology, pathology and clinical infectious disease in a fertile, collaborative research environment. VGTI programs encompass the full bench-to-bedside spectrum of translational research, helping to hasten the rate at which its laboratory discoveries are tested and transitioned into new therapies.

In an era when our society faces unprecedented new risks from emerging viral and infectious diseases, the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute requires private support to advance its unique mission. Your gift provides essential support for scientific equipment, skilled faculty and key programs in this vital area of research.
