Oregon Stem Cell Center

The first resource of its kind in the Northwest, the Oregon Stem Cell Center was created to harness the enormous potential of stem cells in the fight against disease. In the past, islet transplants, fetal cells and hepatocytes have all proven effective in cell therapy-based treatments of diseases such as diabetes and Parkinson’s. However, limited availability of these cells has hindered progress in the field. As a leader in stem cell biology, the Oregon Stem Cell Center addresses the supply issue by isolating and purifying stem cells from less limited sources such as living donors.

The Oregon Stem Cell Center is working at the cutting edge of science to expand what is possible in the treatment of both pediatric and adult diseases. The future promise of cell therapies requires the support of today’s visionary donors. Your gift is an investment in the people, equipment and programs that will deliver on this promise.
