Dotter Interventional Institute

The Dotter Interventional Institute was established in 1990, in honor of Charles T. Dotter, M.D., the father of interventional radiology. Dotter, the visionary radiologist who invented the concept of and coined the word "angioplasty," was the chairman of the department of diagnostic radiology at the OHSU School of Medicine for 33 years until his death in 1985. In Dr. Dotter’s spirit, the institute has developed a world class, internationally recognized multidisciplinary program in interventional therapy with emphasis on education, research, and patient care.

Your support of the Dotter Interventional Institute will help us to continue the legacy of Dr. Dotter as we educate physicians in the latest techniques, develop new tools, and provide the highest quality interventional treatment to patients in an environment that ensures their comfort and well-being.
