Exploring Rural Health Through Demographics & Data

Finding relevant local demographics and health data for your grants, reports, and community health needs assessments can be difficult and frustrating. Fortunately, our data and GIS analyst, Emerson Ong, is here to show you the comprehensive array of rural data available from the Office of Rural Health (ORH). He will provide an overview of the nine health care measures in our annual Areas of Unmet Health Care Need Report—which ranks all 129 primary care service areas in Oregon, present the major sections of ORH’s 6-page primary care service area profiles, and walk you through the plethora of map and data resources available on the ORH website. After this session, we hope you will have more of the tools you need to write your grant or CHNA with confidence.
