Objectives:
This first part of the session will overview the nervous system response to axonal injury, followed by a student-led discussion of a recent paper.
Study questions:
List Coleman's categories of disruption of axonal transport.
What classes of molecules/functions are needed for axons to survive?
How long does it take cargo to go from soma to axon terminal in the longest human axons using 'fast' axonal transport?
