Objectives:
This session will present the clinical features of perinatal ischemia and how the injury and response differ from ischemia in the adult
Study questions:
What is 'periventricular leukomalacia'(PVL)?
Why are oligodendrocytes implicated in PVL?
Does perinatal white matter injury result from hypoxia-ischemia?
