Description: This session will overview the clinical features of PD and highlight some of the recent directions in pathogenesis and treatment options.

  1. What can cause parkinsonism other than the most common "idiopathic" or "sporadic" type?
  2. What are the molecular components of "Lewy" bodies?
  3. What is the rationale for "neuroprotective" studies and have these been successful?
