Description: This session will provide an overview of the clinical features and spectrum of the dementias including Alzheimer's disease. We will contrast/compare dementias with the aging process.

  1. What symptoms and signs distinguish dementia from other disorders involving the cortex?
  2. What are the classical pathological features of Alzheimer's disease and what are the molecular components of each?
