Anthony W.S. Chan, Ph.D., D.V.M.

[Anthony Chan, Ph.D., D.V.M.] Anthony Chan, Ph.D., D.V.M., is a staff scientist at the Oregon Regional Primate Research Center at Oregon Health Sciences University. Chan is a pioneer in the field of transgenesis, which he began studying in 1989 while a student at National Taiwan University. Chan has been the invited speaker to numerous symposia discussing transgenic animal models, including the Transgenic Animal Research Conference in Tahoe City, Calif.; INRA in Paris, France, and Frontiers in Reproduction at Marine Biological Laboratories.

Before joining OHSU in 1998, Chan was a scientist at a biotechnology company in Wisconsin. Chan is the author and co-author of numerous papers. Chan is from Hong Kong, received his bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at National Taiwan University and his doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
