ALS Center of Oregon

Director: Jau-Shin Lou, M.D., Ph.D.
Associate Director: Edward Cupler, M.D.

The ALS Center of Oregon is dedicated to the care and support of individuals and their families living with ALS.

We work to streamline the referral process by sharing information with primary care physicians, case managers, insurance companies, and other health-care institutions throughout Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and the United States.

Our ALS Clinics take a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our ALS staff includes neurologists, a clinical nurse manager, pulmonary consultants, augmentative speech specialists, voice and swallowing specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dieticians, and orthotists.

We research treatments and procedures to find the best options for treating the symptoms of ALS. We initiate and participate in clinical trials of new treatments.

We conduct investigational research to learn more about how ALS operates and how we can develop new treatments to slow or stop degeneration.

Family, Friends and Fun Celebration was held May 21, 2005, to raise money for ALS research.
