This is specialized 17-bed unit is a significant milestone for OHSU. With its opening October, 2006, it became the cornerstone of our well-integrated and cohesive Neurosciences Critical Care program at OHSU that has brought together faculty expertise in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Anesthesiology, & Peri-Operative Medicine. OHSU has long recognized the need for a comprehensive program that would provide the state and region an exceptional neurosciences clinical, research and academic knowledge base. The recruitment of Dr. Bhardwaj and the opening of the new ICU have been key to creating a robust resource that meets that region’s needs.

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to excellent physician leadership, this unit will also has experienced neurosciences registered nurses and clinical nurse educator.  These nurses, along with our highly skilled ancillary staff, have an enthusiastic spirit that is focused on providing our patients the best possible experience. Dr. Bhardwaj and the entire staff are deeply committed to the success of our new unit, as well as the success of our patients.
