Richard A. Parker, MD

Dr. Parker joined the Division of Nephrology in 2006. Prior to joining the Division, he was in the private practice of nephrology for 25 years.

Dr. Parker earned his M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1971. His internship was served at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Following service in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Parker completed his internal medicine residency at OHSU in 1976. He served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine from 1976-1977 and completed his nephrology fellowship at OHSU in 1979. He remained on the faculty at OHSU as member of the Division of Nephrology prior to entering private practice in 1981.

Dr. Parker’s interests are in all aspects of clinical nephrology and hypertension. In addition to his own outpatient clinics, he is the director of the Division's Resident and Fellow teaching clinics. He is an attending physician on both the inpatient ESRD service and the nephrology consult service at OHSU Hospital.
