How to Apply

Application to the Molecular Microbiology & Immunology Department is done through the Program in Molecular and Cellular Biosciences. The application website is here.

Successful Applicants

Matriculating students interested in Microbiology and Immunology are encouraged to take classes taught in the MMI department, in addition to general courses taught to all PMCB students.

Students are also expected to rotate with three different professors in whose research they have interest.

There are course requirements for all PMCB students, as well as further expectations for MMI students.

Financial Aid

Currently, all applicants accepted into the Molecular Microbiology and Immunology department graduate program receive graduate research assistantships. These assistantships provide a stipend including tuition and medical insurance. The Student Health Service at OHSU includes outpatient care and any necessary referrals to specialty clinics. In addition to this assistance, US citizens may apply for federal student loans.

Stipend levels for 2007/2008 are $23,500 for entering students and $25,000 for second-year and above.

Student Health

Student health at Oregon Health Sciences University includes outpatient care, routine X-ray and laboratory work and any necessary referrals to specialty clinics.
