Biosketch:

Dr. Allada was born and raised in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate and medical school education. From there, he completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. In Madison, he participated in asthma research, studying markers of airway inflammation.

In 1998, he began his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at OHSU. After completing this program in three years, he spent an extra year in a sleep fellowship at OHSU under the supervision of Dr Robert Sack at the OHSU Sleep Disorder Center. He has since become board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine. After spending a year at OHSU as a clinical instructor, he accepted a position as assistant professor in 2002.

Currently, Dr. Allada is the adult pulmonary clinic director. He has also the director of the adult cystic fibrosis program. Because of the growing adult CF population, the adult clinic moved into its own space (apart from the children’s clinic) in January 2009. Dr. Allada’s clinical interests include adult CF, sleep medicine (for which he has a separate sleep clinic) and critical care.
