Pediatric status epilepticus (SE) is a common emergency. The goals of this module are to recognize the problem, appropriately assess SE, describe initial treatment, and avoid overly aggressive therapies that have potential for harm. The CD contains an instructor manual, student materials, and a PowerPoint presentation of three cases that lead participants through the assessment and initial treatment of this pediatric emergency. |
