Street Safety

Safety is very important when you are near a street. Always remember to follow these rules:

  • Learn what traffic signs mean.
  • Before crossing a street, stop at the curb or edge of the road and never run into the street.
  • Look and listen for cars and trucks to the left, then to the right and then to the left again.
  • Cross at the street corner and walk in the painted lines if they have them.
  • Keep looking while you cross the street.
  • Never walk or run between parked cars.
