National Training Center & Clearinghouse, NN/LM Middle Atlantic Region, New York Academy of Medicine, New York, NY September 1996 to November 2002 Employed as an Online Analyst. Responsibilities and activities include: Teaching Advanced and Introductory level classes across the US on the use of PubMed, NLM gateway, MeSH, Clinicaltrials.gov, and TOXNET; Testing and evaluating new WWW-based interfaces for the NLM products and services; Developing & updating instructional material in collaboration with NLM Staff using Word, Pagemaker, Powerpoint, Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro; Attending training courses in Dreamweaver 4, Flash 5, & Windows 2000; Contacting host sites for NTCC training classes and coordinating with their administrators to set up yearly NTCC Schedules of classes; Arranging air, rail and lodging accommodations; Providing specialized presentations for Pharmaceutical Corporations and Professional Organizations; Creating and maintaining content for Pharmaceutical, Vaccination, and Genetics Pages for NOAH (New York Online Access to Health) consumer health web site; Writing articles for RML newsletter; Supplying individualized instruction via phone and email on effective strategies for specific inquires; Consulting with NYAM reference staff on patron requests.
