The meeting was brought to order around 8:00 am with 11 members present. The minutes from July 26, 2001 were approved.
Announcements
·
Thank you to the OHSLA Board and to
outgoing members (Judith Hayes, Dorothy O’Brien).
·
Electing of officers: New Program Chair:
Melissa Horner; New Recording Secretary: Karen Finney
·
OSBME fees are now going toward access
to Stat!Ref for all licensed MDs and
DOs in Oregon. The document delivery
service at OHSU will be in effect only
until June 30, 2002. Cindy will be sending
out statements to individual libraries
explaining the financial impact of this
change.
Reports
·
Treasurer’s Report: the balance is currently
$9698.42. We have not printed the Union
Lists yet. Judith will talk to Susan
Barnes at the RML about it. We will
wait to decide what to do until then.
Those who have paid for the Union Lists
are considered “pre-paid” for when the
lists are printed.

Program Chair: Suggestion from Kathy – she would like a class on finding
alternative medicine information on PubMed.
·
No RAC report.
·
Web page Committee: The committee has not met yet, but they will hopefully
have a prototype of the web page for the next meeting.

Old Business
·
Vendors: Up to Date is supposedly doing
something in conjunction with MLA.
·
OHSLA Listserve: Someone at OHSU has
to be in charge of it. We want to have
a form on the new web page that allows
OHSLA members to sign up for the list.
Beverly suggested a drop-down box which
would allow people to send a CE ideas
to the CE chair, etc.
