Announcements ·OHSU has a new Innovative library catalog, which it shares with NCNM and OGI. The Primate Center is not part of it yet, but will be eventually. OHSU is now part of Orbis and will be ready to participate in Orbis borrowing in six weeks (hopefully). ·OHSU email is going away for non-OHSU members. ·Up To Date was discussed. Many patrons want it, but it is very expensive. Net assets as of 2001 ·We will be mailing membership invoices and include information on the invoice about who has paid for union lists. Old Business ·Nothing has been done on the OHSLA web page. New Business ·OHSLA Brochure (Dolores): We probably do not need a brochure if we have a web page. ·Ideas for meeting/CE topics (Melissa): o
Unorthodox librarians – Val will head
up a panel for April meeting. Potential
panelists: Mary Devlin, Nancy Brown,
Valerie Lawrence, Pam Osborne. ·LSTA (Cindy): The state library seems open to including health sciences libraries more than before. They may start paying for database licensing. Cindy will send out a questionnaire to the OHSLA list. ·Membership changes (Dolores): We may change from having institutional memberships to personal memberships. Right now, we don’t know who all of the members are, and we don’t know if new health and medical librarians know about OHSLA. This problem may be solved by having an OHSLA web page. ·OHSLA listserv (Dolores): OHSLA members need to make sure their email addresses are correct. Dolores sent a list around for all members to check. |
