Thomas Sydenham (1624-1689)

The Sydenham collection contains books from the nineteenth century which were published from the 1840s
on by the Sydenham Society and the New Sydenham Society. These two societies were London-based publishers
of reprints of classic medical works, such as works by William Harvey (1578-1657) and Thomas Sydenham (1624-1689).
The distinction of this collection is that all the books were published by these two societies.
The collection is located in the History of Medicine room.
