Who we are:
What we do:
Research and Reference Services provides a variety of services to the OHSU
and Oregon community, including:
Ask a Librarian
Service designed to answer health-related ready reference questions for
Oregon Health & Science University faculty, staff, and students and for
Oregon residents.
Classes
Conducts 1-1 and classroom
instruction for databases, Internet
searching strategy, and other topics.
Library Liaison Program
Provides an ongoing dialogue with OHSU faculty, staff and
students to better help meet their information needs.
Databases
Evaluates new potential databases and supports access to and use of
existing databases provided through the
library, including Ovid
MEDLINE and
PubMed.
E-Books
Facilitates licensing, access to and use of individual electronic books
and those in collections such as AccessMedicine, Books@Ovid, Books24x7,
NCBI, MDConsult, netLibrary and STAT!Ref.
E-Reference
Provides organized access to reference resources fo health professionals
at OHSU.
Pathfinders and
Projects
Creates online guides to researching your topic, how to avoid plagiarism,
evidence-based medicine, and projects for school nurses, Oregon nurses,
and more.
