						<description><![CDATA[This position serves as the primary coordinator and supervisor of clinical trial activity as directed by the physician/primary investigator. Responsible for patient assessment for protocol eligibility, counselling of patients regarding study schemas; study calendar and treatment plan; patient education; coordinating follow-up care and liaison between patients and other members of the healthcare research team. Will be responsible for the supervision of multiple clinical research trials including: maintenance and submission of patient data; evaluation of protocol activities; maitenance and preparation for quality assurance audits and management of investigational drugs. Ensures timely completion of work for all assigned trials. Must be able to undertand regulations from the IRB and FDA and be able to make decisions based on that undertsanding and assure that the protocol is conducted according to these guidelines.]]>

						<description><![CDATA[The Research Assistant 2, which will have working title, Practice Enhancement Research Coordinator (PERC) will interact with clinicians, office managers, nursing staff and clinic personnel in eight clinics around the state of Oregon to facilitate the Transforming Outcomes for Patients through Medical home Evaluation &amp;amp; reDesign (TOPMED) study. The TOPMED project aims to promote the ability of clinics to become Patient Centered Primary Care Homes (PCPCH) and will use health IT, incentives, and practice facilitation to accomplish this.The PERC will have several responsibilities that include:1. Working closely with the OHSU-based interdisciplinary study team to accomplish TOPMED research objectives;2. Identifying key stakeholders within the TOPMED clinics and building relationships to set the stage for successful project implementation; 3. Building and maintaining enthusiasm for the study within TOPMED clinics using practice facilitation model;4. Communicating with participating clinics per the practice facilitation TOPMED intervention guide;5. Documenting interactions and observations in structured fieldnotes, and possibly conducting key informant interviews;6. Assist clinics with health IT (ICCIS) activities specific to the study, including running queries and reports, reflecting on results, and working with clinics to design/implement pertinent quality improvement projects;7. Troubleshooting technical issues with clinic internal technology departments and maintaining data use agreements;8. Assisting OHSU-based interdisciplinary study team with TOPMED document development9. Reporting study progress to the OHSU-based interdisciplinary study team;10. Participating in regular meetings and training; and11. Assisting with other TOPMED tasks as they arise.]]>

						<description><![CDATA[The selected candidate will be actively involved in the development and expansion of genetic counseling services in pediatric, adult and family care. The counselor will participate in overall coordination of care including intake, assessment, counseling, and follow-up as part of an integrated team approach in partnership with our physicians and other genetic counseling professionals. We provide inpatient and outpatient care to children and families in all areas of genetics, and a key activity for the person in this position will be coordinating care through the transition from prenatal to postnatal care and from inpatient to outpatient services. The CDRC&iquest;s clinics use a family-centered, inter-disciplinary approach to care, providing services that range from a single discipline consultation to a full team evaluation. In addition to direct patient care, our clinical genetic counselors serve a primary role in education to medical trainees, genetic counseling students and other health care providers. Participation in research and publication is also encouraged.
