						<description><![CDATA[The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.Information Technology Group (ITG) is the computer department for University, Hospitals and Clinics. ITG is responsible for the development, implementation, operations and maintenance of computer systems within OHSU. Multiple platforms are used throughout the data center for administrative, financial, research and clinical applications. These computer systems are critical to provide patient care within OHSU.The purpose of this position is to monitor various computer server systems, systems interfaces, environmental equipment and physical MSB / ITG security systems to ensure all components are operating properly. Maintain several backup systems and perform tape management for both on and off-site. Monitor backup reports, prepare and e-mail server backup failures to appropriate ITG staff. Monitor application, application interfaces and perform intervention when necessary. Provide customer assistance as necessary during shift, enter problem calls into Peregrine Service Center and page out when necessary. Perform report printing and preparation for distribution of patient information and various University departments. Provide assistance to system engineering staff when requested. The Incumbent will observe due care, objectivity and respect for confidentiality. 						<title>Diabetes Education Manager</title>
						<description><![CDATA[Coordinate all aspects of adult and pediatric diabetes education program, including curriculum development.  Monitor activities, mentor educators, address issues.  Establish system and process to monitor compliance with ADA certification and ensure that ADA certification is maintained.  
Perform education services three half days per week and as needed to fill-in for absences.  Serve as role model, clinical expert and coach to assist diabetes educators in achieving their full potential.  Serve as resource for all current and emerging glycemic control and monitoring technology, with a special emphasis on insulin pumps and sensors. Direct staff development and competency programs.  Coordinate presentation of quarterly staff in-services on pertinent topics. Support and coordinate, as appropriate, inpatient activities of both adult and pediatric educators.  Facilitate integration of diabetes education program with the Diabetes Center for both inpatient and outpatient programs and group self-management courses. Support growth of inpatient glycemic control initiatives, including active participation on the Diabetes Inpatient Interdisciplinary Committee.
Maintain collaborative relationships and education in diabetes care in an effort to maintain professional and community standards. Assemble work groups as needed to build relationships and promote, support and enhance services to and from the HSDHC. Monitor established clinical performance indicators and other quality improvement initiatives and all clinical compliance activities, including CMS regulations, VFC program, HIPAA and OSHA, monitoring JCAHO, CLIA and scope of practice compliance. Recruit, orient, and supervise adult and pediatric educators. Evaluate, maintain and adjust staffing needs as required to ensure the delivery of quality care and to maintain service excellence and efficiency. In collaboration with the lead cma, coordinate clinical operations and monitor the standard of care provided.  Facilitate communication with PAS Supervisor and staff to resolve issues, prevent delays and maximize service and efficiency. Serve as a role model to promote, facilitate and monitor all issues of professionalism, service excellence and patient satisfaction. 						<description><![CDATA[Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor level BC/BE pediatrician to join a dynamic, established, academic Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.  The Section is within the Division of General Pediatrics and provides clinical care in Doernbecher Childrens Hospital, a 151 bed hospital-within-a-hospital associated with OHSU, and a member of NACHRI.  Hospitalists provide inpatient attending services for general pediatric patients on the medical and intermediate care units and the well baby nursery, and provide consultative services to subspecialty, surgical, and pediatric emergency department colleagues.  

The hospitalist team collaborates with hospital administration in planning and implementing medical and operational quality improvements. Section members are active in developing and supporting family-centered care principles, and demonstrate excellence in communication with families and referring providers.  The Section is extensively involved in providing and leading educational endeavors for medical students, as well as pediatric and family medicine house staff.  Section members also participate in translational research and clinical trials.  

This position includes clinical duties as attending physician on the pediatric inpatient units and in the well baby nursery.  Non-clinical weeks will be structured to support the successful candidates academic areas of interest.
