Description
Applicants will be expected to perform experiments involving dietary compounds and their effect on cancer prevention using cell lines, animal models or samples from human trials. Duties will include discussion of the experiments, implementation and presentation of results on a weekly basis. Applicant will be expected to spend a small portion of their time ordering and managing stocks of supplies in the lab. Very well organized, good note taker, ability to present in a concise and clear manner, fast learner and ability to work independently are a must. Participation and presentation of work at national and international meetings could be offered. Ability to manage other people is a plus. Applicants with previous experience in the field are preferred.Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelors degree; knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as Northern, Western blot, PCR, Tissue culture, plasmid and DNA preparation; very well organized, good note taker, ability to present in a concise and clear manner, fast learner and ability to work independently are a must. Preferred: Two years working in a research lab; experience handling small rodents; ability to manage other people; previous experience in the field.

1.0 FTE; Salary Range: $26,400-32,000/year; Location: Center for Health and Healing, South Waterfront
