Description
This is not an OHSU job. We currently have a position available for a highly motivated individual with the ability to work in supervised and independent capacities to join our team of dedicated researchers. As a Health Technician GS-6 you will be responsible for functions to include: assisting in the development of policies, procedures and criteria for administration of organization-s health science research program. The incumbent will also perform a variety of administrative duties to maintain specialized data and assist in the implementation of study designs. Maintains records, prepare project administrative and statistical reports for review process. The incumbent has the ability to retrieve laboratory reports, and other relevant patient data. Performing a variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within an organization. Monitors and controls business papers, correspondence, and records, including the coordination of action papers with office and agency staff. Receives, assigns, and monitors externally and internally generated correspondence and inquires. Qualifications
Eligibility: U.S. Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards Handbook for GS-0640, Health Technician series applies and may be reviewed in the Human Resources Management Service office. Applicants must meet basic requirements as well as specialized experience and/or education requirements to qualify. Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience is required that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of this position. This one-year of specialized experience must have been comparable to the next lower level in the Federal Service. Experience must have been related to the work of the position for which application is made. Example of qualifying specialized experience include: work as a Health Science Specialist, Health Technician, Health Aid or similar position for a large Medical or Research facility. Substitution of Education for Experience: If using education as a substitute for experience, please submit a copy of your college transcripts or school record of credit hours with application packet. Successful completion of a four year course of study above the high school level leading to a bachelor-s degree is qualifying. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
Schedule and Salary Range
FTE 1.0; Position available immediately; $36,063 - 46,880/year.
