About this Site

This website was developed to help elders in Oregon find information and resources to help with caregiving. Tips and suggestions were provided by Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) nursing faculty and by other health professionals in Oregon. Additional information was researched by Andrea Drury, Sue Morey, and Mary Devlin.

Links to additional resources were carefully chosen. These other websites have useful, practical information and do not merely direct you to still other sites. Health professionals suggested some of the websites and others were researched by Andrea and Mary, both professional librarians.

The Prepared Caregiver site is hosted by the Center for Healthy Aging at OHSU.

Funding for The Prepared Caregiver came from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Pacific Northwest Region.

  • Project number GLIBY0005A.
  • Project title: Finding it on the Internet: Health Access for Elders

Additional people to thank:

  • Linda Milgrom, Outreach Coordinator, National Netowrk of Libraries of Medicine, Pacific Northwest Region
  • Dolores Judkins, Head of Reference, OHSU Library

Support for Mary Devlin's participation came from the Training Program in Health Informatics, National Library of Medicine grant # LM07088-12. Dr. Kent Spackman is the director of the fellowship program at OHSU.
