Theresa Harvath, PhD, RN, CNS

Theresa HarvathTheresa Harvath is an associate professor at OHSU School of Nursing. She currently serves as a co-director of the Best Practices Initiative of OHSU's John A. Hartford Center of Excellence in Geriatric Nursing.

Theresa has worked in long-term care as a staff nurse and as a geropsychiatric clinical nurse specialist. Her research interests relate to family caregivers' responses to dementia-related behavioral symptoms.

Theresa received her bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. Her masters (1986) and doctorate (1990) are from Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing.
