Janet & Philip's Story:
We always knew we wanted kids. And if one went okay, we’d have one more. But when Janet had her eight-week prenatal ultrasound, we learned we were going to have triplets. On the ultrasound, they looked like circus peanuts.
We learned of our son's soon to be lifelong condition at the mid-pregnancy ultrasound: Spina Bifida.
On a average cold spring day In April of 2010. My son Miles started swelling and complaining of headaches.
My niece Angela Uzcanga was born today and passed away June 14, 2007. She was the best niece in the whole world!
Many years ago (around 1980) my son was at Doernbecher. He was 20 months old when he was admitted there. He contracted spinal meningitis (he had the worst kind, the kind that kills adults) and had less then a 10% chance of surviving.
