Many years ago (around 1980) my son was at Doernbecher. He was 20 months old when he was admitted there. He contracted spinal meningitis (he had the worst kind, the kind that kills adults) and had less then a 10% chance of surviving.
Janet & Philip's Story:
We always knew we wanted kids. And if one went okay, we’d have one more. But when Janet had her eight-week prenatal ultrasound, we learned we were going to have triplets. On the ultrasound, they looked like circus peanuts.
Timothy was born full term in Hillsboro Oregon Dec 31, 2010. Minutes after birth he turned blue and his oxygen levels was down in 20%. The next day We was moved to Doernbecher where we learned he had congenital heart defects.
