Is OHSU Sports Medicine Program a Good Match for Your Needs?
At OHSU Sports Medicine, we have a variety of ways to assist those who wish to minimize pain and maximize enjoyment of everyday physical activity. We work with both youth and adult patients to:

  • reduce pain from general, sports- or work-related conditions or injuries
  • discuss surgical options and/or speed recovery from orthopaedic surgery
  • boost athletic performance
  • learn injury-prevention strategies

With our depth and breadth of care, we’re able to customize recommendations, treatments, and follow up care to best meet patient needs. Thanks to our experience partnering with referring doctors and OHSU specialists, you’ll find it easier to get comprehensive, coordinated care.

While we enjoy working with our patients on wellness and prevention, we also appreciate the opportunity to help those with conditions such as:

  • meniscal tears
  • cartilage injuries
  • ligament injuries and joint instability

as well as those in need of:

  • minimally invasive surgery
  • arthroscopy, including hip arthroscopy
  • meniscal transplantation
  • cartilage repair and restoration
  • total joint reconstruction

Please call if you have any questions about our Sports Medicine services. You’ll find us right on Portland, Oregon’s beautiful waterfront, at OHSU’s Center for Health and Healing.

A special note to athletes and recreationalists of all ages: We’re committed to keeping you healthy, safe and pain-free!

At OHSU Sports Medicine, we believe the key to a long, fulfilling athletic life begins early — and starts with learning proper form, stretching and injury prevention techniques. But we also believe a person can benefit from learning the above at any age!

In addition to our standard services for youths and adults, we also sponsor community events like the Hood to Coast relay and work with Portland metro area high schools to offer:

  • athletic trainers, team physicians and sports physicals
  • a dedicated student sports injury clinic that uses the latest techniques to speed recovery while protecting participation in future sports and recreational activities
