The Oregon Pancreatic Tumor Registry [OPTR] was established in 2007 by the Digestive Health Center and the Department of Surgery at the Oregon Health and Science University.

The goals of the OPTR are:

Patient Care

Research is a part of our multidisciplinary approach to care at OHSU.  The OPTR provides an opportunity to participate in a long-term research registry with a special focus on the hereditary causes of pancreatic tumors.

Education

An educational resource for both patients and healthcare providers, the OPTR supplies topical, practical information on pancreatic cancer screening and inherited syndromes that may increase the risk for pancreatic tumor development.

Innovative Research

An important goal of the OPTR is to better understand the causes of pancreatic tumors, which will help to improve screening methods and refine treatment options.  As the OPTR grows, the opportunities for new and original research will improve.
