Layton Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Center
In Oregon, 76,000 adults have Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder. These dementias are especially common with increasing age. The Layton Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Center at OHSU is dedicated to providing an integrated program of diagnosis, treatment and research. As one of only 30 Alzheimer’s Disease Centers for research, a designation bestowed by the National Institute on Aging, the center is truly one of a kind in Oregon.
The Center is particularly focused on research aimed at detecting and preventing cognitive decline at its earliest stages, even prior to developing symptoms.
