Cardiac Rehabilitation
OHSU’s Cardiac Rehabilitation is a physician-supervised program for people who have either congenital (present at birth) or acquired heart disease. Cardiac rehab can often improve function, reduce symptoms and improve the well-being of the patient. OHSU’s three-phase inpatient/outpatient cardiac rehab program is tailored to meet your individual needs whether or not you’ve had a heart attack, surgery or procedure.
Phase I
The inpatient phase of Cardiac Rehab starts while the patient is hospitalized for a heart attack or surgery.
Phase II & III
OHSU’s outpatient phases of Cardiac Rehab take place on the second floor of OHSU’s new Center for Health & Healing. Participants have access to many services in OHSU’s new state-of-the-art March Wellness Center. Program services include:
- Monitored exercise program
- Educational sessions regarding diet and risk factors
- Preparation for return to work and normal activities
