Pain Medications

Doctors prescribe pain medications to help reduce painful symptoms associated with various conditions.

Pain medications include anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen), opioid medications (like morphine), anticonvulsant medications (like Neurontin®), and antidepressant medications (like Cymbalta®). While these may help many patients, they are not always completely effective.

The doctor will work closely with the patient’s primary doctor to determine what pain medications could help treat your pain.
