I'm a 10-year breast cancer survivor. And in that 10 years, I've had six reoccurrences — and I'm here today, clean at this moment, for about six months. What keeps me going is being able to laugh, because sometimes things get ridiculously out of control. You have to be able to just step back and laugh at your situation, with your kids or your family. And keep doing the things you love to do because it will give you inspiration and it will make you feel that cancer is not controlling your life. Because it doesn't. It's something that we live with, but it doesn't tell us who we are. We are who we are. We can always be kind, loving people. And share our stories with others, be inspirational, and give lots of hugs and get lots of hugs.
