At the top of the list

US News and World Reports Best HospitalsWe are pleased to share that for the seventh consecutive year U.S. News & World Report magazine has ranked OHSU as the No. 1 h ospital in Oregon, according to U.S. News Best Hospitals 2017–2018. Seven adult specialties at OHSU also rank among the top 50 in the country. Those areas are:

  • Cancer
  • Cardiology and heart surgery
  • Diabetes and endocrinology
  • Ear, nose and throat
  • Geriatrics
  • Nephrology
  • Neurology and neurosurgery (No. 45 — newly ranked)

In addition, U.S. News designated several OHSU specialties as “high-performing”: gastroenterology and GI surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, pulmonology and urology.

US News and World Reports Best Childrens HospitalsFor the eighth year, the magazine also ranked OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital among the nation’s top 50 children’s hospitals. OHSU Doernbecher received recognition in six pediatric specialties, including cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery and pulmonology.
