50 mg muscle or 6.0 mL whole blood in EDTA tube. Call the Lab at 503-494-5400 if you have questions. For requisition slips.

Reference Range:

This test detects point mutations that are present in levels greater than or equal to approximately 5% of total mtDNA.

Comments:

Two point mutations, both at nucleotide 8993 can be identified by PCR-based NARP analysis.
