Requirements:

If patient is on penicillamine, sample MUST be collected into acid (20 mL 6N HCl/24 hr) and thoroughly mixed before removing aliquot.

URINE: 2 mL random urine or aliquot of a 24 hr urine. Refrigerate sample during collection and mix thoroughly before removing aliquot. Refrigerate and deliver within 4 hrs or freeze and transport frozen.
