Woman making heart with her hands

Our Most Read Health Stories of 2015

At the Center for Women's Health we work toward a vision of fully realized women's health and well-being. And supporting that vision are initiatives that focus on areas of care which can have the greatest impact on all women: women's primary care, cardiovascular health, nutrition and breast health.

Throughout 2015 we saw your interest in those same initiatives reflected in your responses to our social media posts, newsletters and other communications. Here's a recap of some of our most read stories from 2015 and a look forward to some things you can expect from the Center for Women's Health in the new year.

The Results Are In - Community Outreach Survey

As we develop programs and outreach activities at the Center, we want to be sure we are listening to what is important to you, our community. This past summer we conducted a survey asking what outreach activities you'd like to see us offer.

And when we asked, you answered--445 people responded, and roughly 90 of those respondents allowed us to conduct follow-up interviews. Thank you to those who helped us reach that number! We're actively using the information to guide our program development and look forward to bringing you new ways to support women's health in the coming year.

Women Who Inspire Us
Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD)

Senator Mikulski, who is set to retire in the coming year, is the longest serving woman in Congress. We're inspired by her longtime advocacy of women's health and scientific research. Throughout her storied career, she helped establish the NIH Office of Research on Women's Health and championed legislation that support's women's access to care.
