GSO: Overview

Who we are..
The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is an organization for students from all areas of OHSU. Graduate programs include departments of Behavioral Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, Medical Informatics, Molecular and Medical Genetics, Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Physiology and Pharmacology, and Public Health.

What we do..
The GSO provides a community, both academic and social, for graduate students that would most likely be lacking in its absence. It promotes communication between the different disciplines and departments and acts as an advocate for graduate students, both individually and as a whole.
The GSO holds its meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, generally at 5:00 PM in the Synapse, Vollum Institute (Note:Refreshments are provided). The GSO sponsors a yearly ski trip in February to Mt. Bachelor and holds a Fall Barbecue to welcome new students.

Want to join in?
If you are a graduate student at OHSU who pays a student activity fee either personally or through tuition payments, you're already a member of the GSO. All that's left is to come to one of our fairly informal meetings, and get involved!
