GSO Monthly Meetings
The GSO holds monthly meetings on the first wednesday of every month at the Synapse in the Vollum Institute.It gives a welcome break for graduate students to discuss the pros and cons of research life. The added incentive are the refreshments!

GSO Welcome Barbecue
The welcome barbecue is a yearly fall tradition sponsored by the GSO that is part of the new student welcome at OHSU. The music, food and beer provides an ideal opportunity for the new to get to know the old and vice versa!

GSO Ski Trip
The GSO organizes a yearly ski trip to Mt.Bachelor in the early part of February. A weekend of fun and frolic,it's a well-deserved winter break for all students.

Student Research Forum
The Student Reseach forum is a two-day scientific symposium organized by the GSO in the summer. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to present and discuss their scientific breakthroughs.

KIDS Activities
The GSO also organizes periodic visits for school students to visit and learn, basic labortory skills and the latest in science. It offers an excellent opportunity for graduate students to sharpen their mentoring skills and for young scientists to experience the real world.
