OHSU & the Environment |
|
|
As the largest employer in Portland, OHSU serves as a leader among health care institutions in its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. For example, did you know:
- South Waterfront's Center for Health & Healing earned LEED Platinum
- Kohler Pavilion was constructed following the environmentally focused Green Guide to Healthcare
- OHSU recycling services are free
- OHSU saves money using natural resources wisely while protecting the environment
Raising environmental awareness and taking action can occur in a variety of ways. Such as adding recycling services to your department, attending GreenTeam's monthly meetings, or joining a No Ivy pulling event, members feel good about being involved with the GreenTeam. |

OHSU GreenTeam t-shirts debut at OHSU's Farmer's Market
On July 29th, Dorcas Safly, Co-chair of OHSU GreenTeam, presented the new GreenTeam t-shirts to OHSU's Executive Vice President, Steve Stadum, and Dr. Joe Robertson, OHSU President. The new OHSU GreenTeam t-shirts were given to Steve and Joe in appreciation of their continued support, leadership and vision of not only OHSU GreenTeam activities, but all OHSU's efforts around environmental sustainability.
Thank you Steve, Joe, and the OHSU community, for your support.
If you would like to own an OHSU GreenTeam t-shirt, please contact Jenna Wilkinson. |
