How to use the SMC

 

Spotted Microarray Core

A unit of the OHSU Gene Microarray Share Resource

The Hedco / Oregon Cancer Institute Spotted Microarray Core (SMC) was established by a generous donation from the Hedco Foundation.

 

SMC operations and services:
  1. Preparation of spotted cDNA arrays using sequence-verified libraries
  2. Design and preparation of custom microarrays using oligonucleotides or cDNAs
  3. Evaluation and acquisition of additional cDNA and oligonucleotide libraries
  4. Amplification of RNA and Labeling of cDNA target
  5. Generation of labeled cDNA targets from total or amplified RNA.
  6. Hybridization and scanning of microarrays
  7. Quantification of micrlarray images and normalization of microarray data

December, 2003: The SMC is pleased to announce the availability of electronic forms to replace our printed project applications and sample submission forms. These forms were designed by Vincent Yau and may be accessed by clicking here.

There have been some changes in the SMC operations, so please review the updated descriptions (circa November, 2003) on the “How to Use the SMC” page.
