MIAME: Minimal Information about a Microarray Experiment

The objective of the MIAME documents is to outline the minimum information required to unambiguously interpret microarray data and to subsequently allow independent verification of this data at a later stage if required. The MIAME working group recommendations and author checklist were developed by the Microarray Gene Expression Data Group (MGED).

The GMSR BBC has developed both Affymetrix and spotted cDNA MIAME checklists for GMSR investigators to supply to journals and will host the supplementary materials on this website after publication. The BBC development team is working on MAGE Annotation tools to faciliate the exchange of GMSR published data in public repositories. For more information about MIAME compliance, please contact Dr. Shannon McWeeney.
