Bioinformatics
Associate
Edwin Quick received
a bachelor's degree in psychology from Washington State
University
and his master's degree from the Division
of Medical Informatics and Outcome Research at OHSU. His graduate work led to
the
development of an on-line microarray informational and educational
website. He has over 7 years experience working in the
research
arena moving from the bench to research informatics, bioinformatics,
and clinical informatics. He has experience in web application
design/development, database development & administration,
project management, & customer training & support.
Current projects include:
- Managing the
implementation and ongoing support of the oracle-based Affymetrix
Microarray Database AMCDB
that provides an end-to-end solution for investigators to
submit microarray experiment requests, store experiment
results, and perform analysis on Affymetrix GeneChip data
via web-browser interface.
- Maintaining
current application and GUI layers for AMCDB and developing
new application and GUI components for ongoing release
cycles of the AMCDB.
- Managing web
development for GMSR, BBC, AMC, & SMC.
